Both Audio and video from one video clip time remapped using rhythm from music in another video clip
Hi there,
I have two video clips, one of an interviewee speaking, the other of someone playing the violin.
I have been trying to figure out a way of using the timing of the music in the violin video to control the speed at which the interviewee is talking, so he talks faster and slower as the violinist bows up and down or fingers the strings. I hope to keep the pitch of the interviewee’s voice the same. I hope I am making sense.
Can Twixtor do this? I have FCPX and After Effects CS5. I am really struggling and would appreciate any insight.

Actually, Jessica, what I should have said is that we can retime to new audio in both AE and FCP. In AE we can do both audio and video (using AE to do the audio part). In FCP we can NOT remap audio with Twixtor. Still watch those tutorials to see how to do the video re-timing part.

Actually you can precomp your clip you want to retime putting Twixtor set to 100% on it (in the precomp) and use AE timeremapping (Layer|Time|Enable Time Remapping) and it will maintain the pitch, and change video speed all at once.
