  Boris with Avid crashing so much it is unreliable

  So I’m afraid your going to tell me, “Honey, all you have to do is update your AVID system to OSX.”
  We have two AVID systems here. One is OSX, the one I use is on system 9.
  Boris crashes so often that it is completely unreliable and almost unuseable. The already created effects/transitions are useable in most cases.
  In the AVID effects pallet, Boris 1.0 and Boris 1.5 show up as options. What has most recently been causing crashes is when I try to edit the preferences to import media to fit to project. Also, when importing media, the color is different than in AVID, so it doesn’t match. I tried importing media into AVID at 601 and RGB and neither seem to match the color settings in Boris although they are set to RGB.
  So, I guess that’s enough information for now. Please let me know if you recognize anything we could be doing wrong. We have cleared out the entire system drive and reinstalled everything, and it hasn’t helped much. Thank you so much for your help. It is greatly appreciated.
