boris red 5.1.3 and vegas pro 11 – PAL
Finally red recognises the 1440×1080 vegas footage right .
3 second m2t file -> apply boris red as plug-in of vegas
press play in red -> after going once through the 3 sec clip , boris red plays the clip at too high frame rate ( double frame rate ? )
( ram preview -> right frame rate )
go into project settings and cross manual setting , put HDV 1440×1080 25 ( although red knows it is custom 1440×1080 25 and shows as such )-> plays at right frame rate
return to vegas ( with cancel in red ) and go back into red -> plays again at too high frame rate -> project settings and uncross manual settings -> plays right frame rate .Each time red is launched as plug-in of vegas , have to go to project settings in red and cross ( or uncross when crossed )and kind of re-confirm it is 1440×1080 25 , otherwise is plays the clip at too high ( double ? ) frame rate. ( ram preview is always at right frame rate )

RED whatever 5 version still playing PAL clip much too fast when RED being used as plug-in of vegas . ( as described here below or above )
Gave up on this BORIS RED( how long is version 5 now released ?? ) and bought the adobe production premium CS6 suite instead at a good price .
