I running FCP latest update on a non Intel G5 dual 2.5 and can’t get my Boris to work.

Will I ever be able to acheive this or do I have to ug Boris to 4? I’ve done a search on this forum and things don’t look very straightforward.

A muttonhead thanks you for any help given.

My guess* would be you need to upgrade… might contact Boris directly… they are pretty reponsive.

    Thanks Jerry,

I’ve fixed it via info on the Boris site.

You have to jump thro’ a lot of hoops like running a patch, deleting pref files, then firing up FCP with caps lock on – quitting the fcp with caps lock off. Problem seems to recure frequently as well with the Boris ‘options’ button disappearing. But at least I know how to fix it now.

Also B’s transitions don’t work but I understand there’s another workaround for that. For some reason Boris are not making the relevant pdf available to us easily for download.

    Regards

    Alan

There are a few postings on the Boris FX forum regarding this issue.

Red 3 transitions WILL work on FCP versions prior to 5.11.
