The pixel chooser in BCC for Avid allows for a ‘custom’ shape, where you can create a complex cutout mask (similar to Animatte). BCC in FCP allows for ovals, rectangles, but not ‘custom’. Am I missing something? Is there a ways to draw matte’s in BCC for FCP? Thanks.

Unfortunately no Pixel Chooser bezier masking is available in Final Cut. Part of the reason is that there is no custom on-screen controls overlay available within current Final Cut version. We hope it will improve in the future.

    Sorry,

Thanks, Boris. It is a spectacular function on Avid. I’ve recommended Boris for my next FCP series.
