July 18, 2012 at 9:23 pmBoris… BCC. THis is a pain. I have it installed on my main system, but I cannot then install it on my NEW system running the beta. Let’s say for example I use a tower and a laptop…but not at the same time. Simple, Avid allows you to deactivate the license and Activate it on another machine. Good, been there, like that. OK, but then I have a lot of BCC filters in my sequence, and when I go to the laptop…boom, they aren’t there. And I go to install BCC 8.0.4 and activate it with my code and…I can’t, it’s in use. And there is no way to DEACTIVATE it on my tower so I can use it on my laptop.
So now I am stuck.
Any clue what to do here?

July 18, 2012 at 9:50 pmGo to a clip with a BCC effect on your tower and go into effects mode. I just tested it with BCC Alpha Spotlight. Up top there’s a grey box called “Registration Info” Click on that and you can deactivate there. A little roundabout, but it’ll do the trick.

July 18, 2012 at 10:16 pmNever sir! I found it a fairly strange way of having to deactivate it as well. I just wished I waited a while long to upgrade to Symphony which comes with BCC, as opposed to upgrading both Media Composer and BCC separately (which probably ends up costing the same). C’est La Vie!

July 18, 2012 at 10:34 pmNext time I ask before I berate Boris and Avid on twitter about how I cannot deactivate…
That’s why I am an ass. But glad you figured this out before.
