Boland 4k Broadcast Monitor
Hi!
I’m a colorist in a post-production company in Brazil. We’re buying new hardware and, after going to NAB2016, my bosses are planning to replace our current Flanders CH500TD (55′, 1080p) with a new Boland 4K 65′.The thing is I’m very fond of Flanders Monitors, and found no trustworthy reviews on Boland monitors on forums and google. Found a post on this forum, but was from some time ago and wasn’t very conclusive.
Anyone here working with one? Any inputs on what should I expect?

I used a Boland 40″ monitor at a facility a couple of years ago, and I felt like the blacks were not as deep as I wanted (or expected). I was told by the engineer that the monitor was calibrated, but I wasn’t too impressed.
It’s very possible the displays have improved in the last couple of years, or we got a defective one. But I haven’t seen these problems with Flanders or Sony or Panasonic pro displays. I would get one on the condition you can exchange it if it isn’t right.
