Does anyone know why, in an NTSC 23.98 MC project, my 720p DVCPro HD 23.98 p2 ftg is VERY blurry? It looks fine, however, if I switch the project setting to 720p/23.98. I have a Mojo (not SDI or DX). In the other room here, where there is a Mojo DX, it looks crisp. Help!

    Hi Tova,
This is an easy fix if you are using AVID 3.5 or later. You need to disable the AVID AMA to allow analog Mojo to down-convert a nice clean standard definition monitor signal while editing.
Go to project settings-AMA-Volume mounting tab and deselect “enable avid AMA”. restart avid and your
P2 720p files will play with clean (non-blurry) standard def resolution. You may have to cycle through the green/yellow video quality button in the lower right side of the timeline window to full green.
