    Hi Guys,
New to all this so it probably sounds really daft.
How do you get a video file in Adobe After effects or Premier cs3 to slightly blur in and out as it plays,
    intermittently and subtly?

I have some flowers that I’ve filmed, swaying gently in the wind,
and I just want some periods where it goes slightly out of focus,
    then back in.

    Cheers

    Paul

    Hey Paul,

In AE go to Effects > Blur & Sharpen > Gaussian blur. Then change the Bluriness values, set a key frame, move your time slider, change the value again (this should set a new key frame automaticly)

This solution will put your entire footage out of focus, not just a single flower.

    Grtz Ruud
