BluRay burning headaches (FCE -> )
Not sure where to post this … but I’m working on some HD concert footage in FCE HD 3.5.1, using Compressor 3.0.5 … (I don’t own FCP and have no upgrade path to Compressor 3.5).
I got good results using some tips from these forums getting my concert SD DVDs through Compressor, with satisfactory results. Now I’ve output the sequences as self-contained Quicktime movies in HD with chapter markers, and can’t figure out how to get these files to burn correctly using Toast 10.0.8 and a BluRay burner.
I’m losing my chapter markers no matter what, and within Toast, even pulling in a clip of each individual song to force individual tracks, I’m getting a 1-second pause between tracks, which is not good because the music is flowing from song to song. The footage looks and sounds fine with Toast doing the encoding, but I can’t live with the pauses between tracks and there’s no way to skip from track to track without going back to the main menu because the forward and back buttons don’t work.
Is there a way to get chapters out of FCE 3.5.1, either via Compressor 3.0.5, or not, into Toast 10.0.8 and have it create a menu with chapters that actually work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
