  • blur an extruded object?

Just started playing with the new extruded object and raytrace renderer.
I extruded some text then tried to add a Fast Blur. Nothing.

I precomped the text and added the blur. Nothing.

Seems like some sort of limitation here. Anybody know what is going on?

CPU renders only – no GPU.

You cannot apply effects or masks to Continuously Rasterised Text, Shape Layers and nested comps.

What you should do is to nest (not precomp) the Ray-traced Comp into another comp. Then apply your effect.
