  • Blue Screen key in PPRO or AE ?

Posted by James Goodman on April 6, 2006 at 6:21 pm

I shot bluescreen with PD150 DVCAM and have edited the footage in Prem Pro 1.5 on a machine that also has AE 6.5. Now I am keying the footage and trying to decide if PPRO or AE is best for keying – any suggestions.

Also I have a new computer on same network that I have just installed the new Video collection pro version on with PPRO 2.0 and AE 7 on. Is the keying better on 2.0 or AE 7

    Project length is 25 min

Any suggestions on what should give me best keying and maintain colour of headshots ?

    Thanks
    James

Definitly key in AE…Keylight in AE is far and away better then anything PPro can do…

Not sure if Keylight in AE 7 is a newer version then in 6.5…

    AE AE AE AE

PPro’s chroma and color screen keyers are really not adequate for any paying work.

Keylight in AE, no question. End of story.

There are other third party apps you might like better, but Keylight does the job.
