  Blue Channel Missing

  Hi,

  this is my first post here so apologies in advance if I get the etiquette wrong. I’ve been coming here for years looking for help and it’s always been incredibly useful, but I don’t seem to be able to find anything on a similar problem to mine.

  I am not the most technical of people so hopefully this will make sense.

  I have an AJA Kona LHi, hooked up to FCP 7 and a J3 Sony Digi Beta Player.

  I don’t use tape much any more but am trying to capture some Digi Beta footage but the Blue Channel appears to be missing.

  The connection between the deck and the AJA is via Component RGB (there is no SDI out on the deck. I have tried plugging the Component cable from the deck directly into an external monitor and that displays correctly so I am assuming the problem is not the deck or the cable.

  I’ve got the AJA Input set to Analog 625i25, Component Beta (I’ve tried SMTPE too but that doesn’t seem to help).

  I’m tearing my hair out with this one so any help or suggestions would be really useful.
