Blu-Ray Encoding
If you are working with fairly high bit-rates like 20 mbps or above, is their still a benefit to using 2-pass vs. single-pass encoding?

Yes….the first pass is the investigation pass to determine the best bitrate for your source. The second is the actual encode pass.

unless you have to cram a super long movie
onto a single layer, I really don’t see a point.the only real benefit is to make the file smaller
and look the same (maintain quality) -
Yeah, I thought so. It sure would save a lot of time.
