Blu Ray burned in FCP 7 will not play in Duplicator

Stupid question, but we have to eliminate the obvious first: is the duplicator Blu-Ray capable, and has it been used successfully to make a BD dub before?

Correct. A Blu Ray Duplicator. Specifically a Pioneer BDR-XD05W

Here’s what I’m doing:

Bring HD footage into FCP 7. (Have tried both XDCAM & AVCCAM footage).
I send said footage to Share and check the Burn a Blu Ray box.
A Blue Ray is burned on a Pioneer BDR XD05W Blu Ray Burner.
The Blu Ray plays back fine on Blu Ray players BUT it will NOT play back in my client’s Blu Ray Duplicator.

I Think: It’s either a Hardware compatability issue OR
A File Writing issue.

Has anyone made a blu ray using SHARE directly in FCP7 and then brought that disc into a Duplicator unit and successfully made copies???

OK, well, these things are rarely simple to pin down, but the simplified, “share” type of BD burn you can do from the FCP timeline is perhaps not as rigorous an ISO standard as if it were authored in DVDSP or Encore.
And your duplication system is a bit more demanding. I’d next try a BD made from exporting a self-contained version off the timeline and bringing that into DVDSP, then try making a dub master from DVDSP to see if that works.

One other thought; the duplicator may think your disk is region-limited or copy-guarded. Check any settings for those two features. My hunch is that something in the lead-in header information of your master is causing the issue. You might also want to try the first thing you did, but with a different brand of blank media. That’s a long shot, but sometimes it pays off.
