    Hi
I am a teacher soon to try to show my students (16-18 years) how to use a FCP and Motion.
I am a advanced editor from my last working position, but I have never done much in Motion.

I am convinced my students will ask for how to make bloodsplatter and blooddripping sequenses in motion.

Can anyone put me in the right direction? I.e: a simple tutorial 🙂

    Regards

I’ve never done anything with blood before. Andrew Kramer, a famous Affter Effects guy has created a bunch of free tutorial that I think would help you. Unfortunately they are all Affter Effects but I bet it will get you going in the right direction. Check out #24 Blood Splatter amongst some others. Hope this helps.

Not that it’s my place. I would make sure your school will let you teach this to the students before you teach it?

    Hi Stephen!
Thats what I would call a swift response. Thanks a lot,.. I`ll give those AE tips a go!
No need to worry about my students 🙂 – They all study media and filmproduction, and now and then we need a explosion or some blood to make those Hollywoodish actionmegagigaflippflopp scenes.

Thanks a lot – I`ll see into those films of your as well!!

The particle emitters would work well for blood splatter. It depends on how real you want to make it look, but you could easily fabricate something with the shape tools and particle emitter. There’s also some media in the library that could probably be “colorized” to be blood-red!

Take a look at “Splotches” in the Library-Content-Vector Art.
