blocky bars in Compressor flv encode
I’m having trouble with my flv encodes in Compressor. They start out as quicktime exports from FCP (full size DV anamorphic.) I push them through to a 640 by 360 flv file for our website. Every time I try it in compressor I end up with blocky horizontal lines through the data-heavy sections of the vid. Here is an example (see the first 15 seconds):
What makes this perplexing is that I downloaded MPEG Streamclip and it does the same job with the same parameters on my same machine with no blocky bars. I have also noticed a similar block bar phenomena with my .wmv encodes through Compressor (using flip4mac engine.) I’d love to get Compressor working for my flvs again so that I can batch encode directly to an ftp site.
Any ideas?
Specs:
Mac OS 10.5.6, Intel (2x3ghz Quad-Core)
Compressor version 3.0.5 (Final Cut Studio 2)

No interlacing on the full-size quicktime export, but I did set to de-interlace during compression into flv. I used the de-interlace setting in the QuickTime Export Components dialogue box, not the compressor filter option.
