Blink Filter
Posted by Russ930 on March 25, 2007 at 9:37 pmWhen changing the default settings in the blink filter to 2-2-0 the video won’t blink
when the video is played back, but will work if I scroll 1 frame at a time. Any ideas?

March 26, 2007 at 2:20 amThe video is rendered, but I did do a rerender and it still does not work. Is a forced rerender different from
a typical render? -

March 26, 2007 at 4:14 pmYeah — what I meant was to trash your renders and try it again. But not sure that’s your issue. The blink filter is a RT filter on my machine and doesn’t need ANY rendering.
You know, I tried to duplicate your issue and couldn’t. Maybe something like checking your RT settings or trashing your preferences with FCPRescue might (MIGHT) fix this.
Odd… just odd.
One last question just to rule it out… You are sure you put the filter on the clip IN the timeline and not just on the clip in the viewer, right? I’ve done that before… doing a match frame, forgetting where I was… seeing the clip in the viewer… adding a filter… checking it in the timeline and having NO filter there at all.
Just a question – not a dig.

March 26, 2007 at 8:35 pmI tried deleting the render files but still no success. However the default setting of 3-5-0 now seems to be working at the 2-2-0 setting. If I actualy
change the setting to 2-2-0 the clip does not blink at all. I also verfied that the filter was in the correct clip.
Still stumped.
