Blending modes in Avid

September 13, 2010 at 11:49 pmHi there I have been trying to get blending modes working in Avid and was directed to this link
https://images.digitalmedianet.com/projects/profoundeffects/plugins/free_plugins.htm
But when I register and try to download I get a dead link. Does anyone know of anywhere I can get this plug in or if there is something in Avid Media composer 4.0 that will give me the option to use blending modes such as screen or add like you can in After Effects?
Hope this makes sense.

September 14, 2010 at 1:05 amI used that plugin with Avid Xpress 5.7 a while ago, and I recently tried to install it on MC3.5 and it wasn’t even recognized by the program. It was great, but I don’t believe an updated version for MC 3.0 or above was ever made.

September 14, 2010 at 1:26 amI have not used that plugin but with your included BCC bundle of effects you can utilize the Composite effect. Also the Paint effect has blend modes built in that you could have some fun with. Good luck.

September 14, 2010 at 11:48 amPhil, here’s a link to the DMN Transfer effect I just posted online. I’m using the latest version of Media Composer and it still works great. Just drop the file into the “AVX_Plug-Ins” folder.

July 23, 2018 at 8:29 pmI know this post is ANCIENT. But I can not download that plugin!!! I’m trying everything on the DMN site here:
https://images.digitalmedianet.com/projects/profoundeffects/plugins/free_plugins.htm
To download it, but it says “Failed – No file”.
Your mediafire link is dead also.
Do you still happen to have that installer?

July 23, 2018 at 10:13 pmYou know, after EIGHT YEARS, that plugin might be removed. I know several FCP Legacy ones that are gone, and only people who have Automatic Duck, the free version released at FCP 7’s demise can give it out..it’s gone from the site.
