Blending in animations in a composition
Good day.
I wish to learn new approaches in image compositing using
adobe premiere for some basic features. I have been attempting
it a while, and I have been experiencing some troubles. Input
from more advanced users would really benefit me and others
who would read this thread.
Here I go:1) When adding a still picture or animation done in 3D applications,
what is the best approach and tools used to blend the layer in ?
FE: I have an animation of a walking man, and composite it on a
video I made, what tools/approach do you use in making it look seamless
down to the grain level and lighting ?Myself, I use photoshop (filmstrip) and match it to a frame grab of
the main footage.2) If said animation should walk through a room where foreground objects
are present (a pole, for example), and it should look like it walks BEHIND it.
Yet it should walk in front of the rest of the scenery. How is this done, is
there some way to achieve that ?I thank you if you read this far.

Premiere is probably not the best thing for this level of compositing – After Effects comes to mind, but I am no expert in that.
If you have a clean key in Premiere, animation can be ok, but motion tracking is not something to try in Premiere.
