Blend modes and additive dissolves
Can somebody tell me which Boris or Avid filters I need to use to get different blend modes (add, subtract, difference etc) when compositing and if there is the equivalent of additive dissolve (in FCP/premiere speak) in the media composer effects palette?

There’s the Optical Dissolve effect that is in Digital Film Tools’ Composite Suite.

There was a free filter called DMN Transfer to use transfer modes. https://images.digitalmedianet.com/projects/profoundeffects/plugins/free_plugins.htm
I’ve used it on Xpress 5.7, I’m not positive it will work with newer versions of MC but it might.
