  • Blend effect for crossfade with green screen video

I have video clips of a man shot against a green screen. I am trying to do a crossfade without the movie clips fading back to less than 100% during the transition. I have searched extensively for the answer and found that Blend should do it. When I tried Blend, the Keylight effect didn’t work during the transition. I had green screen around my clips. Is there a way to not have this happen? Is there a better way to do this crossfade?

    thanks

Try keying the various scenes, then precomp each scene..Now use opacity to dissolve between the precomps. If the background doesn’t change, then put the background in the main comp at the bottom. The alpha info created by the keylight should follow with no problems. This method also helps to keep a project clean 🙂

This is how i would attack it, but in After Effects there are many ways to do things, as I am sure you are aware.
