I’m not sure how this happened, but I have about three minutes of nothing at the end of my video. In other words, the timeline extends three minutes past the content, and is being rendered as black.

The only thing that seems to be assigned to that portion is a volume envelope, but I can’t figure out how to shorten it back to the end of the actual content. Nor can I figure out how to just delete this extra 3 minutes of timeline.

Can anyone help a newbie here?

I’ll bet there’s a little bitty sliver of a clip 3 minutes down the timeline. click on the ->| button below the timeline to see where the end of the timeline actually is.

Just to add to Edwards post, if your cursor goes to that point 3 minutes past what you think should be the end the zoom in on the timeline until you can see what the sliver of an event is and then delete it.

Yu can also just double click on the main video in the time line to set the loop markers. Then in the render window check the render looped region only. Hope this helps. Danny Hays

    Help!

    Hi

I’ve got an odd problem with a project I’m working on.
It was already to go and works fine in the preview but when I rendered it the first and last 5 seconds appear as a blank screen.
The audio is fine, but the picture is blank.
I can’t understand what’s happened as the whole project was highlighted and rendered within the loop region and as I say shows no blank parts in the preview.

Please help; I’m a newbie and have a limited time to finish this project! 🙁

    Any help would be appreciated!!

I have had that happen to me, too, and never figured out why. I just replaced the clip and it worked fine.

Hope that works for you, too.

Thanks… nope. Tried it. No change.
Still blank at the beginning and the end!
Also; if I try the ‘Switches’ tab, all the options are greyed out..?

    Ah ha!

    Dimebar!

Had to click the events individually and Hit Edit> Switches> Then Disable.

TBF when the whole thing is highlighted you ought to be able to do this but hey.

Hope this helps you next time it happens.

    Best
