I used FCP Rescue to reset my settings and when i tried set them, the blackmagic settings weren’t there. How can I retrieve them?

Reinstall your blackmagic drivers I suppose.

heresy though it may be, in future you might want to consider switching to FCP Attic which has taken FCP Rescue to the next level

it’s funny, I’ve been using FCP going on 6 years now and have never needed anything other than Trash Prefs and either Rebuild Desktop in OS 9 or Repair Disk Permissions in OS 10. Not sure why folks need software to “repair” FCP.

i’m with you Walter … when they go bad (which they sometimes do) simply trashing the prefs is all thats really needed, and just doing it manually is not exactly rocket science. but FCP Rescue made it that much quicker and easier, plus offered an opportunity to “backup” and “restore” a good set, and so rightfully earned its place in the hearts and Utilities folder of many a regular FCP user.

sounds like the poster in this case had not saved a backup set and simply trashed and so started fresh.

FCP Attic doesn’t fix FCP any more than FCP Rescue … it just lets you backup a bunch of your other settings, like keyboard and window layouts
