  • Blackmagic Intensity pro won’t playback 1440*1080

I just got the Blackmagic intensity Pro editing card and everything installed perfectly and plays back SD very well.

I edited a project in 1440*1080 and the output controls do not have a setting for that HDV 1080i 60 1440 1080. I can always upscale my project for 1920 so the QC works but I do not want to waste the time in doing so or the render. I’m editing with Final Cut Studio 3. In all my searching I can’t find anything saying its capable to output 1440 which seems weird to me

    Any suggestions are appreciated

Maybe I’m misunderstanding the situation but 1440×1080 HDV is designed to be displayed at 1920×1080. If you use a 1920×1080 setting on the Blackmagic card does it not display the image? I’ve used a few different BM cards with HDV w/o a problem but I don’t have hands on experience with the Intensity line.

Well I just captured some new footage in 1920*1080 and I almost always work in that format but this one project it was hdv. But the new 1920*1080 pro res I just captured and put in timeline it won’t play back the video it will jump to current frame on pause but it wont play any of my 1920*1080 or 1440*1080 timelines to my qc monitor
