    Hey there

    I have a 2010 Mac Pro (5,1). 8 core. 24 gigs or RAM

I’m having trouble with my Blackmagic Intensity Pro PCI card. I’ve installed all drivers, tried all the different PCI ports and still my MP fails to recognise it. In the system preferences panel, all options are greyed out and a message says “No Settings Required”.

At first I thought it’d be a faulty card, but then I tried the card on my friend’s 2008 Mac Pro, and it works just fine. What could possibly be wrong? Are the PCI slots on my machine damaged? Is there anyway to test this?

I’m under a massive deadline, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Federico

Do you have any other BMD products installed?

Hmm, not sure then. I did have that problem once many years ago with an older Decklink card, but shutting the computer totally down and pulling the power for a few seconds fix it.
