  Blackmagic HDlink Pro with Projector

  Hello,

  I am trying to set up a monitor for editing shorts and features that will be going directly to film festivals. Everything is being done in Final Cut on a Macbook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo. I have an Optoma HD66 projector which handles up to 720p. There is much I still need to learn about the technical aspects of setting up an editing suite. Any help that members can provide is greatly appreciated.

  My main question is will the Blackmagic HDlink Pro greatly improve the performance of my projector even though it is only 720p?

  Also, if I am not going to be doing much color grading, do I really need this device?

  Should I just get a plasma TV instead and sell the projector?
