My FCP is opening and forgetting my layout settings. I just saved the project and quit. Then it tells me that it “unexpectedly quit!” I think I’ll revert to version 5, just means I’ll loose all my preferences……aaaaargh.

If it’s any help to Blackmagic here’s what the first few lines of my crash report say:

    Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
    Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x0000000c

OK so I installed the new drivers, I’m not having the same crashing problems as the other users in this post, but I am having a problem where, when I stop the timeline the picture in the NTSC monitor gets brighter (substantially) this is making color correction very difficult. some of my shots are short and have to corrected in the stopped position. But the monitor is not showing me what i am really getting. HELP!!!!!!

….and another weirdness…. when I try to “remove Blackmagic” and then install 5.0 I get constant message that “decklink file has damaged content…” I have downloaded it several times with no success.

Why are these botched drivers still on the website after 12 hours? 5.0 should go back up immediately. I tried 5.01 for about two minutes and had a serious problem.

I did a simple insert edit to tape from a 10-bit sequence. It inserted a green flash at the in point and the out point. I immediately came here, saw these were screwed up, reverted to 5.0, and then tried it again. It worked fine.
