  • Blackmagic decklink won’t install in a Dell PC?

Has anyone else had trouble installing a Blackmagic decklink HD card in a Dell running Win 7 64 bit?

Spent quite a bit of time with the folks there trying to get it to work (apparently Dell doesn’t like the drivers) but they did not have a suggestion as to what make/model would work?

Card is a Decklink HDPro SD that will connect to an analog to SDI Mini Converter (also made by Blackmagic) so we can use it with our Vaddio board that has 6 inputs.

Yes we are still using analog boards at this time – can’t afford to upgrade to HD yet.

    All suggestions appreciated…

    TIA

    C

thanks but we won’t be converting to Macs anytime soon. That is not an option for us.

    Carly,

Which Dell is it? What are the error messages if any?

Have you tried installing the card in a non-Dell system to rule out a possibility of a defective card?
