    BlackMagic Decklink capture problem

    Hello. When I capture video (standard def NTSC) on my Mac, the footage is much darker than it is on the original tape.

    My specs:

    Mac Dual 2GHz Power PC G5
    Mac OSX version 10.4.8
    Final Cut Pro version 5.1.2
    Blackmagic HD Pro (Dual Link)
    Blackmagic Deck Control ver 5.7.3

    I tried using the Apple Certified version of BM Deck Control (ver 4.7.1) and this fixes the problem, but then my video output in FCP is full of digital noise. I believe that software version is for FCP 4.5.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    I’ve replied to your email as well. Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce this issue inhouse. Did you run the “Uninstall Blackmagic” application first before installing the newer drivers?
