  • Black title changes colour when exporting MXF ???

Posted by Nicol j Craig on December 16, 2014 at 2:47 pm

    Hi there,

Been asked by client to export in MXF format. Never done that before (worked within PP with MXF, just never exported to that).

At the end of the ad I’ve made a very simple after effects title/call to action. Simple black text over the final shot.

Everything fine when I exported h264 mp4. But when exporting MXF, the black title went green.

    Any ideas why? Help appreciated.

Not that you should have to….
but can you export the MXF from one of the other encoded masters?

I’ve only exported an h264 mp4 and wouldn’t want to because I want a higher quality format.

I assume that this is coming off your timeline and going straight to MXF.

so the title in question is a CG title or Photohsop file? or some kind of graphic with alpha.

Can you export that section of the timeline as a Clip.

import it into the project, and then cut into the sequence on a higher track?

now you’d just be exporting video sources as opposed to video/gfx sources…

and that should also work around the problem.

I don’t know why this has happened….but that should help you get past it.
