    Hi and thanks for looking!

I have a client that requires all their social media videos to be captioned with a low opacity black background solid for legibility.

They have been doing this via premiere and manually cropping every-single-solid to the specific size of each text layer. It is a real bottleneck.

I’m not a master but it seems that I should be able to have AE create a GFX template that can be exported to premiere where a black solid is parented to a text layer. If there is a way for that solid to grow and shrink in lockstep with additions to the text layer while maintaining, lets say, a 60pxl distance from that text box I would love to hear about it!

Please let me know if I need to be more clear!

    Thanks!

    -Joe

This worked perfectly Richard. Thank you very much.

To anyone else who may need this functionality, I have some .mogrt’s to plug into premiere. Just ask and I can share!
