  Black pause frame in Premiere / Inverted & Shifted frame in SpeedGrade

  SETUP:
  
1080 timeline / RED EPIC footage / .R3D files.

  ISSUE:
  Black pause frame in Premiere / Inverted & Shifted frame in SpeedGrade

  I encountered this issue after I changed the source settings (shifted the white balance around for all the clips in timeline). While color correcting via direct link to SpeedGrade. The video would play through fine but when I stopped the video the pause frame would be inverted colors, shifted off to the side. I then switched back to Premiere and those same clips would just be black when paused. The thing is that I changed the source settings on all the clips but only some are struggling.

  SOLUTION ATTEMPTS:

  I tried to reset all the source settings for each clip back to “as shot” but all problems remain.

The only work around I could find, (after trying everything!) was right clicking on the clip, selecting “Render and Replace…” This seemed to be the solution until I exported the sequence and the project would fail every time once it hit these key issue clips.

  Please help!
