We have shot a fitness video in studio against black. When outputting to anything other than FCPX Master file I’m getting a thick black line/halo around the subject. I’ve tried various compression settings (using Compressor 4.1.3) but no success. Any advice welcome.

For info the end result will be downloaded from the client’s website with three taster sequences on Youtube. Each sequence is 11 minutes which I know is long. We aren’t dealing with the online side of things but I need to provide the developer with the highest quality output for him to compress down for the various options.
    Many thanks.

Please read the sticky at the top of the forum and include details.

Perhaps your lighting was high contrast and the encoder isn’t handling the edges but I can’t offer anything more than a wild guess without details. Perhaps the source files were a compressed codec that encoding is making more visible. Maybe too much sharpening on the source. Maybe an issue with keyed source. Perhaps you need to blur or soften edges on the source.
