black fields after transcoding
Media Composer v1.6.8
We imported footage at 2:1 from a DVCAM tape.
But to work on our newscutters we transcoded the footage to DV 25.
But our final edit (while still looking at it in MC) had every other field as black frames. Any idea what caused this?
We did the same thing on another media composer and it worked fine. We are wondering if its some setting we messed up on.

What were your settings? I seem to remember there is a ‘fill with black’, or something like that (I’m at home right now) check box…
FWIW, I export same as source with the appropriate aspect ratio checked. Nothing fancy coming out of the MC…
