  black bar below video on flat screen

  Hi, I have a video due tomorrow for an art exhibition which will be screened on a 37 inch flat screen t.v my video made in final cut pro was shot HDV and imported and exported at 1080p24 frame size 1440 x 1880 when I burn it to a dvd and play it on my own flat screen t.v there is a black bar that shows at the bottom of the screen. This isn’t the letter boxing because it isn’t at the top of the frame. Also is there a way to find the center of the screen when doing a split screen video?
