I was reading the DVX 100B manual and I understand the white balancing just fine.
The black balancing is another story. I’m not sure if I should focus on a black surface and adjust the black balance, or just do it right after adjusting the white balance while focused on a white surface???
I guess what I am asking is should I focus on black or white to adjust the black balance?

When black balancing, the camera automatically closes the iris. No need for you to point to black.
