Bitrate for ARRIRAW playback for SAN configuration?

ARRIRAW is about 10 GB’s per minute of recording, as I posted when the Alexa was new, post requirements are around 300MB/s for realtime playback. (It is recorded via Dual 3G or Quad HDSDI in external recorders) For safety I would tell them to work towards 350MBps to 400MBps for the storage.

Make sure to tell your IT guy it needs to be a sustained data rate and not burst speeds.

Be Prepared to have them laugh, most of them do not get data rates needed to sustain this type of imagery.
