Is there any way in FCP to produce a BITC (superimposed) copy of source material or material in my timeline? I know I can basically author this to DVD and produce something that is pretty close to the original but I have to make the program start at 0 frames in order to do that. The DVD it will then display counter numbers that are pretty close and that is what we have been doing but that has a lot of limitations. Any one else have any experience with this? I’m using a G5 DUal 2.7 with a Kona LH.

There is a timecode window burn filter in FCP that could do this for you.. it’s found in the Video Filters/ Video submenu.
