  • bin text file from Media100 to Avid Adrenaline

We’ve recently purchased an Avid Adrenaline running on a G5/Tiger. I would like to export my bins from Media 100 (creates a txt file) and then import this into the Avid. What do I need to do to accomplish this? If this is not possible, is there a MS word format that I could type and then import into the Avid?
    Thanks,
    Nancy

Avid Log Exchange can import a standard TAB delimited Text file and convert to an ALE file format ready for import. As long as the column names are standard AVID names, the data will import into the proper fields. See:
    https://www.24p.com/ALE.htm

Use the above reference for the column headings, the TAB file format is easy:

    StartEndTape
    01:00:00:0001:30:00:00001
    etc

Microsoft Excel can save as TAB file as can FileMaker and any standard database program.

In Avid Log Exchange, use File/Import/TAB

Thanks Michael – if you have an excel file of a log, that you could send me, that would be great! nancy@jupiterprod.com
