February 2, 2021 at 2:12 pmThanks – OK that’s good – any enhancements though – speed etc? I lose functionalities on older stuff so I need a good reason (other than they’ll get us in the end).

February 3, 2021 at 8:21 pmOn Big Sur with an M1 Mac mini. I have a few rarely used plugins that are broken which was totally expected . X is very fluid so far on the mini /Big Sur . I’m not working on anything super complex. I am amazed at how quickly the current project opens . It’s not a large project by any means but it opens instantaneously which still surprises me .

February 3, 2021 at 10:48 pmWell that sounds interesting – so far I can see no real drawbacks. I’ll let the comment stay up a bit longer before acting. Thanks for your reply.

February 4, 2021 at 1:42 pmI’ve been using FCP 10.5.1 on Big Sur for months and have no issues at all. I have found a rare few third-party templates/plugins that don’t work, but those are from developers who are no longer active, or templates/plugins they’ve dropped. I’m running in iMac Pro, older iMacs, rMBP from 2013. All of this for TV broadcast work with daily heavy use. Very happy with it all, no real issues.
