you wrote:. . or set up a Multi Screen using several Tracks. You can apply realtime Fxs and so on. I just threw together a 2×2 with a mix of Fxs on each Event.
Was that in response to what I had written to Douglas, or is what you wrote an afterthought to your other post? If it is a response to what I wrote to Douglas, please help me find the connection.
Am I right that you are using the term “Multi Screen” to refer to displaying both the trimmer monitor and the main preview monitor?
What is a 2×2? Two pairs of tracks, each pair consisting of an audio and video track?
How would using several tracks help with viewing different versions of an edit? Yes, I could apply fx to one a-v pair of tracks and not to the other pair. I could mute one pair, play the section, then mute the other pair, and play that section, but we’re talking about simultaneous viewing of two versions of an edit, so I must be misunderstanding you.
Thanks,

OK, using 4 tracks put the SAME Event in EACH Track.
Start with Track1 (T1), you can use Track Motion and position this Event (E1) in the top left hand corner. Now put E2 on T2 in the top right corner of Preview. Now repeat with T3 and T4.
By now you SHOULD have the same Event repeat in a Multi screen setup. So you can apply and try different Fxs and so on each and every one.
Grazie
