  • Better Lens for Low-Light Concerts (Sigma 30mm 1.4 or Sigma 20mm 1.8)??

    Hey there,

I usually don’t have any problems when choosing lenses for DSLR video, however there are a couple more factors than usual in play here and wanted some opinions. I have a Canon Rebel T3i with an LED attachment for live show/concerts that I usually shoot with a Canon 50mm 1.8 and Bower 8mm 3.5 Fisheye. I am looking for a lens that’s in between the spectrum I have right now and was looking at the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and the Sigma 20mm 1.8. The 20mm is wider but about $100 more expensive and not as open as the 30mm. I am leaning towards the 20mm but the only thing holding me back is the fact that I want the Tokina 11-16 further down the line and if I got the 30mm, I’d then have a broader spectrum. I’ve been stuck on weighing this out for a while now and decided it was time to ask.
