  • Better Control for Track Motion for Rotation of Text

    Hi,
I am rotating a transparent gif I put on a video track. I’ve set the track composite mode to 3D Source Alpha.

I’ve played with the track motion, using keyframes to rotate the transparent gif —- but honestly it’s kind of lame.

Is there anyway to set the Position and Rotation keyframes independently to gain better control??

    Thanks
    Alex

Well, deeper manipulation of graphics is where a motion graphics
software comes in, Vegas can only carry you so far.
But still, you can create a Parent Track above it and add additional manipulation/keyframe movements in 3D space.

Unfortunately not for Track Motion. All of the keyframes contain all of the parameter data which makes it difficult. You just have to plan a bit. I see you have 4 keyframes. I would create two keyframes for the starting and ending rotation first. Make sure that it rotates the way you want, then fill in the middle keyframes for position and they will use whatever rotational value they happen to be at for that timecode.

    Does that make sense?
