April 25, 2007 at 2:02 pm10 Bit uncompressed will always yield better results then using a codec with compression. DVD MPEG2 files are heavily compressed and will have artifacts. You can lay out to tape from a 10bit uncompressed timeline yes. As for the filter effect, you have to weigh wether or not u want it with some banding or don’t want it at all.

April 26, 2007 at 10:45 amYour white level might be to high. Try dropping a broadcast safe filter on the effect and choose the highest level of conservatism…
