  • Betacam camera Line in Specs?

    Hi
I have to shoot in a recording studio next week and I have to plug into the board.
I’ll set my Betacam to ‘line in’ and use XLR cables to connect to the board.
Is there some audio specs I could tell the audio guy so he knows what to output to my camera.
I’ve had problems with plugging into boards before.
I’m also going to ask for an uncompressed AIFF file.
    Thanks
    Peter

    Balanced, line-level.
Its the analog “standard” in pro recording booths.
It might be “0” or “+4” or “+8” but it won’t really matter because…

The nice thing about being in a recording studio is that the engineer can send you “tone” at his “zero” (average peak) level and will be able to adjust his output feed to match the camera.

So be sure to take some time before the shoot to get this set.
