best workflow outputting roundtripped segments – FCP render settings
Hi
I have 30 minute sequence edited in FCP but roundtripped in segments to motion. I now need to output, so I can create mp2 for dvd.
I am confused somewhat now about what my sequence render settings in FCP should be to get the best quality from rendering. In the Render Control tab there is an option for “master templates and motion projects” Should this be set to normal with the “always used best quality when rendering movies” set to best, because although in the pref settings render control tab it is, in the sequence settings render control tab it is set to normal with the “always used best quality when rendering movies” – unchecked.
Also, under the video processing tab – do I keep the default settings of: render in 8 bit YUV – or are motion projects in a RGB color space in which case should I set to render in RGB?
I am also wondering if people use the High precision setting (YUV again)
the other option I suppose is to export from Motion and then re-import into FCP – would I have to re-render again… probably…
Can anybody share their experience and insights with me – thank you
