  • Best way to transfer an Avid project to FCP?

    How’s it going?

I’m working on a doco using Avid MC but I’m moving on and another editor is taking over but he’s using Final Cut Pro 5.

What’s the best way to hand over the project without using Automatic Duck. I’ve created the EDLs but there’s just so many sequences. FCP doesn’t read Avid project files by any chance does it?

    Anyway thanks a lot.

No, FCP doesn’t read Avid projects. Automatic Duck will more than pay for itself if you are moving a lot of sequences.
