    Best way to resize from 16:9 to 4:3

    Hi There:

    Basically I am looking at the best way to resize footage from 16:9 to 4:3 letterboxed. Up until today I have been using the resize effect to scale down to a 4:3 letterboxed frame but I in one of the Digibeta projects I finished on Friday I have noticed there is quite a lot of degradation on the picture when I do this.

    What’s the best way to do this? Experiences?

    One way is to do a full height center crop. This only deals with the horiztonal lines thus does not reduce quality as much as dealing with the vertical.
