Best way to render an animation in AE for use if Final Cut Pro with the 422 codec???

Final Cut is currently on version 7, which is part of Studio 3. ProRes can only be used with versions 6 & 7, as far as I know.

You can download the read-only version of the codec for Windows (and possibly OS X, it’s been a while) from Apple’s website.

Also, if you know anyone with the codec component they can send it to you. These go in your Library/QuickTime folder.

If this was originally done 720 x 480, would you leave it that size in AE, and then change it to 1920 x 1080 in FCP, or change it to 1920 x 1080 in AE first?

If the animation was originally made 720 x 480, (and it has to be 1920 x 1080). would you change the size in AE or leave it and change it in FCP?
Don’t know which version (FCP) end up using, but if you wanted an uncompressed file out of AE, what would you use?
